James Redford waited six months for the donor liver that saved his life. After his surgery, he launched the James Redford Institute for Transplant Awareness, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public about the need for organ and tissue donation.

In Italy alone organ donation rates have more than quadrupled so that thousands of people are alive who would have died.

During the evening, three documentaries will be shown, featuring four people touched by transplantation- Eva Markvoort in 65_RedRoses; Pat Spurgeon, with indie Rock band, Rogue Wave, in the documentary D TOUR; and twin sisters Anabel Stenzel and Isabel Stenzel Byrnes in The Power of Two.
